ABOUT

They say today’s teenagers, people like you and me, risk mental health collapse like no generation prior. They blame the internet’s toxic fascination for the perfect youth for the fate of our generation. We teenagers are chasing a mirage and pointing fingers at anyone, particularly our friends, who don’t fit “just right.” I say, there is no need to look outwards to ascribe blame, instead first look inwards, and we may find odd things we do daily that can cause hurt to the very people we care about. Unknown to even ourselves, we teenagers continuously utter small words of unkindness to people we call our friends. Apparently, that’s how we roll!

The popular/successful kid talks down to the less popular one and makes himself/herself feel like a hero. The less popular one then goes and prey’s on the even less popular kid and restores his/her sense of self-worth.

Help make our schools a more open and tolerant place by sharing your experiences of random acts of UNkindness that you have been faced.

It’s time we talk about it!
